While flying back, he was knocked down by a mysterious enemy and lost his crests. He defeated the Dragon Demon but was himself severely wounded in battle. The game is part of the Gargoyle's Quest sub-series of the Ghosts 'n Goblins franchise. ![]() The Dragon Demon possessed this crest, so Firebrand decided to confront him. Finally, the Red Demon named Firebrand got all the crests but one - the crest of heaven. The demons became obsessed with the crests and with the power hidden in them, and so a civil war started. But then six mysterious crests fell from the sky onto the earth, crests of six elements: fire, water, air, earth, time, and heaven. Once, the world of demons and the world of humans co-existed in harmony. ![]() Something worth noting is that the ROM’s header is “DARKEDEN”, which may be indicative of the game being used as a base for this demo.Demon's Crest is a sequel to Gargoyle's Quest. ![]() The port was pitched to Capcom but never ended up materializing into a full product. As such, a patched version is also included within this release. With some hacking, you can progress further to a semi-functional rendition of the first stage. When attempting to play it unaltered, the game will crash after pressing start at the title screen. Unfortunately it seems to be in a rather buggy state. This demo was previously unknown to the internet, but appears to be a faithful port of the Super Nintendo original. The following is a largely unfinished port of Demon’s Crest for the Game Boy Advance by Rival Dreams.
